Tim Burton’s Wednesday series at Netflix has found its Wednesday Addams! Jenna Ortega (Yes Day, You) has signed on to play the dark, bored, and emotionless Addams child. Different from every other adaption of the family and especially Wednesday, the series is described as a coming-of-age comedy.
It will follow Wednesday as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she is trying to hone in on her physic ability. Not only that, but she’s also trying to prevent a killing spree terrorizing the town and attempting to solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.
Wednesday is written by Al Gough and Miles Millar, who will also serve as showrunners and executive producers. Burton will executively produce alongside them.
