WATCH: Eric Kripke and Stephan Fleet Talk ‘The Boys’ VFX
As fans eagerly await more news on what’s sure to be a diabolical third season, Sony has released a new video with The Boys‘ showrunner Eric Kripke and Visual Effects Supervisor Stephan Fleet.
In the video, the two discuss the explosive series, their philosophy on visual effects, and the way in which they use VFX as a key storytelling device in The Boys.
Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, set in a world where superheroes exist. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, because many of them abuse their powers for their own self-gain. The worst of them all can be found amongst The Seven, a group of celebrity Supes employed by the villainous Vought International. The Boys, meanwhile, are a wayward group of vigilantes risking their lives to expose the corruption and take down the Supes and Vought once and for all.
Season 3 of The Boys began filming in Ontario, Canada at the end of February. A release date has not yet been announced. In the meantime, make sure to follow along with our coverage of the series!
