‘The Boys’ Season 4 Official Trailer: There Will Be Blood (Like, A Lot)

Well, well, well. We’ve got just over a month to go until another diabolical season of Prime Video’s hit series The Boys premieres, and the official season 4 trailer is finally here to tide us all over in the meantime.

“The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

In case there was any doubt as to whether the show would continue to outdo itself with outrageous scenes … I think those bloody flying sheep in the trailer speak for themselves.

Based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought — the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super-powerful.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Season 4 newcomers include Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Seasons 1-3 of The Boys are now streaming on Prime Video, along with the animated anthology series, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, and the live-action spin-off, Gen V (the latter of which ties into season 4, so if you aren’t caught up, hop to it!).

Season 4 of The Boys will make its way to Prime Video on June 13 with a three-episode premiere. The eight-episode season finale will air on July 18.
