The next part of this season of Batwoman is gearing up to introduce their next main villain, Roman Sionis/Black Mask. The CW has announced that Peter Outerbridge (V-Wars) will take on the role.

Roman/Black Mask is set to be a major player throughout the rest of season 2. In his every day life, Roman is a “pragmatic and charismatic CEO” who fights the corruption rampant in Gotham — a “white knight.” But as Black Mask, he is filled with a deep hatred for The Crows and masked vigilantes. He is willing to do whatever he must to destroy Gotham and gain his revenge.

Though we don’t know exactly what Black Mask will have in store, he’s certain to give both The Crows and Batwoman a run for their money. So far this season, there’s been quite a bit of friction between Batwoman and The Crows (specifically Sophie and Commander Kane), but perhaps with Black Mask on the loose, they may end up finding some common ground to work together. Black Mask may also play into what happened to Kate, who was revealed to be alive at the end of the most recent episode.

In the photos for the upcoming episode, viewers got a first look at Outerbridge as Black Mask, which you can see below.
