Crypt TV, best-known for creating a new generation of iconic monsters, has announced the highly anticipated season 2 return of Facebook Watch’s The Birch.

The series is based on Crypt TV’s The Birch (2016) short film from Anthony Melton, Ben Franklin, and Cliff Wallace and tells the story of a teenager who seeks out help from a monster who lives in the woods.

The second season of The Birch will pick up where the first season left off. The story will follow newcomer Rory (Jordyn DiNatale), a teenager who calls upon the vengeful woodland tree monster, the Birch, to help her fight the cyberbullying and harassment from her peers. As the series unfolds, Evie (Xaria Dotson) seeks redemption in an attempt to stop Rory from making the same mistakes she did, leading to many thrilling and supernatural adventures along the way.

The 10-episode second season stars Xaria Dotson, Jordyn DiNatale, Amanda Brooks, Nikko Austen Smith, Samuel-Taylor, Casey Likes, Quincy Dunn-Baker, and Brady Romberg. It was written by Casey Modderno and directed by John William Ross. The Birch returns to Facebook Watch on March 26, with new episodes dropping every Friday at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET and the series finale on May 28, 2021.
