Get ready, trainers. A new Pokémon adventure is just on the horizon.

Back in June of last year, Nintendo revealed that the beloved 1999 Nintendo 64 classic game Pokémon Snap was coming to Nintendo Switch. Fans found themselves in a flurry of excitement and nostalgia over the New Pokémon Snap trailer, which teased gameplay that’s similar to the original title.

After months and months of anticipation, the release date for New Pokémon Snap has finally been announced — April 30! Pre-orders have now begun, so make sure to reserve your digital or physical copy of the game today.

A new trailer was released alongside the announcement. Watch it below.

Some additional information about New Pokémon Snap was also shared today. In this game, trainers will be exploring the beaches, jungles, and deserts of the Lental region, where you may find some Pokémon and vegetation glowing from the region-specific Illumina phenomenon. Players will report to Professor Mirror and his research assistant Rita.
