‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Winter Update is Bringing Good Cheer and Gifts From All Our Lists

Happy Holidays, Islanders! Nintendo has seen your holiday wish list, and comes with good tidings.

The free Winter Update, available on November 19, for Nintendo’s beloved Animal Crossing: New Horizons is chock full of fun and requested updates. First are two new events: Turkey Day on November 26 and Toy Day on December 24. Turkey Day, hosted by Franklin, is ready to cook up a feast for you and your neighbors, as long as you can collect all the needed ingredients. Toy Day on Christmas Eve has a special visitor from the North Pole, Jingle the black-nosed reindeer, who comes with gifts from Santa that he’ll need your help delivering to your favorite islanders.

Along with these events come many welcome new additions. At your Nook Stop are two new items to purchase with your collected Nook Miles, a new Hip Reaction Collection and Top 6 Stylish Hairstyles. The new reactions are ones you’ve all been dying for — Sit Down, so you can join your villagers beneath the trees, Wave Goodbye, Take a Picture, Sniff Sniff, Work Out, and Yoga, to join the group in the town center, and Here You Go, Ta-da, and Excited. The Top 6 Stylish Hairstyles is a welcome addition with styles to make characters more representative for people of color, making the game more inclusive of the entire ACNH community.

And as if things couldn’t get any better, your home storage can now be upgraded to hold 2400 items, up from the current maximum of 1600. Save data transfer will also be available with this update!

Another free update is scheduled for late January.

The Winter Update will be available for download on November 19 via your Nintendo Switch. Which new addition are you most excited for?
