A First Look at ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ on PlayStation 5
Sony has finally released a look at the new Spider-Man: Miles Morales game that will be available on the PlayStation 5. The game will take place a year after the events of the previous Spider-Man game by Insomniac. This time, the game will have you play as Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker, complete with new abilities and functions on top of a new storyline!
In the new trailer, we get to see Miles defend his hometown of Harlem and battle Spider-Man’s newest villain, the Tinkerer. In the fight sequence, we also get a good look at the new features the PS5 will also have to offer. These include more intense lighting and the ability to see little details such as dust particles in the air and the small details in Miles’ Spider-Man suit.
We also get to see how Miles will differentiate from Peter Parker ability-wise. We not only get to see his “spider senses” in full force, but we get to see a slew of other abilities! One of these abilities seems to be a blast of lightning that can affect multiple enemies at the same time, and another is a rechargeable stealth suit with a cool down bar to prevent players from taking advantage of the cool new ability.
Towards the end of the trailer, we also get a good look at all of the beautiful cinematic scenes as well as Miles’ webbing skills as he saves a group of people stuck on a collapsing bridge! Spider-Man: Miles Morales seems to mimic the previous PS4 game very well with its intense, high-flying combat and the ability to travel around using web-slinging.
Along with the new gameplay trailer, Sony has also announced that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available not only for the PS5 but also the PS4! There will be an Ultimate Edition of the game released on the PS5 that will include some updates throughout the game, faster load times, and a remastered version of the PS4 Spider-Man game.
The game will retail for $49.99 on both consoles; the Ultimate Edition will go for $69.99. Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released this holiday season, shortly after the release of the PS5 in November.
