Welcome, fellow game nerds! As we are slowly going into the fall months, are you ready for all the new announcements and releases?

With PlayStation treating fans to the images and gaming information about the new PlayStation 5 (PS5), and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition back in June, everyone is keeping an eye on it to see if the pandemic will impact the 2020 holiday release they have planned. What we know about it so far and the list of games already announced can be found here.

Regardless of the platform you use — Play Station 4 (PS4), Xbox One (XBO), Nintendo Switch (NS), Computer (PC), etc. — there is a game for you to enjoy playing. Here is a list of some of the video games getting released this month.

August 4
Skully (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Players go to an island paradise that humanity has yet to go to. There are active volcanoes, mountains, and more that are at risk of being destroyed by family conflict from four elemental beings. Skully intervenes to try to stop the fight before it destroys the island.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PC, PS4)

In this massive multiplayer game, there can be up to 60 online players fighting rounds until there is only one victor.

Hellbound (PC)

In this first-person shooter game, players kill demons and fight the tortured soul Hellgore with their arsenal of weapons from Hell itself.

August 7
Horizon Zero Dawn (PC)

Becoming Aloy, a skilled hunter, players go around this futuristic world where mechanized creatures have dominance. Aloy has to use her intelligence, strength, and agility to fight the machines while uncovering her past.

Inertial Drift (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Going back to a retro-styled ’90s, players can choose from 16 cars to become the master at drift racing. Oh yeah, all while using twin-stick controls.

Fast & Furious: Crossroads (PC, PS4, XBO)

Players ride in style and speed going after an international crime syndicate. The game even features voices from the original cast!

August 11
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? – Infinite Combat (PC, PS4, NS)

In this fantasy world, Gods have gone down to the lower world to interact with humans. To do that, they need a Familia, a group that people can socialize and support each other before going into the dangerous labyrinth dungeon. The main character Bell Cranel is the only Hestia Familia follower that tries to improve himself. In this RPG and novel-style game, players will test their skills.

August 13
A Total War Saga: Troy (PC)

The prince of Troy, Audacious Paris, takes Helen from her palace in Sparta and her husband, Menelaus. That act creates a battle that shakes the world as Menelaus will bring his wife home no matter the cost. This game is inspired by Homer’s Iliad and the historical Trojan War.

Boomerang Fu (PC, XBO, NS)

“Join a crew of your favorite foods as you grill, chill, and spill your enemies.” That’s right. Players can stack and slice their friends un an up to six players in over 30 arenas all while you are food.

August 14
Deliver Us The Moon (NS)

Players are a lone astronaut sent on a critical mission to the moon to save the human race in this sci-fi thriller.

UFC 4 (PS4, XBO)

In the latest UFC edition, there are new venues like a backyard—Pre-order bonus characters of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. The game players love with more improvements as they battle it out in the octagon to take down their opponents.

August 18
Pathfinder: Kingmaker (PS4, XBO)

Players claim regions as their own, creating a kingdom in the world of Golarion where many kingdoms have come and fallen before.

August 20
Remnant: From the Ashes – Complete Edition (PC, PS4, XBO)

An evil from another dimension is trying to take over the world. Humans have the technology to open and go through portals to other realities and figure out where the evil came from.

Pastel: Blind Karma (PC)

Have you ever woken up from a dreamless sleep to be in an overgrown forest? Well, in this game players do. All players know is that your name is Pastel, you are a nine-tailed fox, and you have to stop something terrible from happening, but what?

August 21
PGA Tour 2K21 (PC, PS4, XBO, Stadia)

Players can play against the pros or on their own while hitting the green. There is a setting to make your own rules, career mode, play on realistic courses, customize players and courses, and more.

August 25
No Straight Roads (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

“Take back vinyl with Rock!” as Mayday and Zuke, indie rock band members, players lead the musical revolution against EDM empire No Straight Roads and the evil intentions they have.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

In this next chapter of the horror game, players try to find what is buried in the Ashmann Inn. Stalkers, hunters, traps guard those secrets, the fact players have to survive the dangers.

Street Power Soccer (PS4, XBO, NS, PC)

Players can create a player and become a Street King learning the rules of the streets and taking on the competition. There are six modes, courses, trick shots, powers, customizable characters, and more.

Madden 21 (PS4, XBO

“Change the game and take control of your own legacy.” Players can make their mark in the game and make NFL history.

August 27
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition (PS4, NS, Android, iOS)

The Crystal Caravanners go on a quest to look for the rare liquid myrrh needed to cleanse the crystal protecting their world from a deadly gas called miasma. Some of the new features in the game include new music, upgraded graphics, character variations, and more.

August 28
Windbound (PC, PS4, XBO, NS, Stadia)

Players go on the journey to learn the history of the idyllic forbidden islands while they explore and live off the land. When you can no longer live off the land, it is time to set sail.

Jump Force (NS)

Famous Manga heroes are out together in our world to fight a new threat deciding our fate.

Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions (PC, PS4, NS)

Soccer and Anime come together when Tsubasa Ozora plays the game he loves: soccer.

Wasteland 3 (PC, PS4, XBO)

Players command Desert Rangers and the law as they try to re-establish in a post-nuclear world. Going on a quest, players will face snow, hostiles, corruption, gangs, cultists, and more. “Will you be Colorado’s savior or its worst nightmare?”
