Pixar Releases Special Look at Heartfelt New Short ‘Out’

Pixar released a behind the scenes look at the new short film Out, and it’s just as sweet and heartwarming as expected. The nine minute short, made as part of the Pixar’s Spark Shorts series for Disney+, follows a man who is close to moving in with his boyfriend … except he hasn’t come out to his parents yet. Through some Pixar magic, he switches bodies with a dog by accident and must face his fears. The film is directed and written by Steven Clay Hunter, who describes the film as “a little gay Twilight Zone” due to its fantasy elements.

The short first premiered on Disney+ on May 22 and has garnered rave reviews since then. It also features Pixar’s first gay main character. You can watch the trailer for Out below!
