Video Games Being Released in July

Welcome fellow game nerds! As we are heading further into the summer months, are you ready for all the new announcements and releases?

Nintendo Switch owners will be thrilled, as this month sees the majority of releases for that platform. Some release dates this month have changed like the NASCAR Heat 5. The games Death Stranding and Fairy Tail that were supposed to come out in June will be released close to the end of the month.

PlayStation fans were treated to the images and gaming information about the new PlayStation 5 (PS5), and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in June. The sleek modern design will be available this holiday 2020 season. What we know about it so far and the list of games already announced can be found here.

Regardless of the platform you use — Play Station 4 (PS4), Xbox One (XBO), Nintendo Switch (NS), Computer (PC), etc. — there is a game for you to enjoy playing. Here is a list of some of the video games getting released this month.

July 2

Biped (NS)

Aku and Sila, two small bipedal robots, are off on an adventure to mysterious locations, exploring secrets, different terrains, puzzles, and more. Players are in control of the two robots’ legs using two sticks.

Infliction: Extended Cut (NS)

Players must put together the mystery of what made this once happy home turn into a living nightmare while trying to survive. There are hidden messages and clues throughout the house, but players will quickly find they are not alone. There is an otherworldly force hunting.

July 3

Marvel’s Iron Man VR (PSVR)

Players become Tony Stark, and his alter ego Iron Man in this first-person shooter game. He is fighting off ghosts from the past and those that want to destroy Iron Man. Fly around the globe and save the world and Stark Industries.

July 7

Catherine: Full Body (NS)

Vincent and Katherine have been together for five years, but Vincent has an affair with Catherine. Oh, that is not all. He also finds comfort with Rin. Vincent finds himself having terrible dreams where he must climb for his life. The player’s choices will determine the outcome of the game.

July 9

CrossCode (PS4, NS)

Players will fight in fast-paced battles, solve puzzles, find their enemy’s weaknesses, and more. Features of the games include seven areas to search, over 120 enemies to fight, over 100 quests, over 60 music tracks, and more.

Elden: Path of The Forgotten (NS, PC)

Players become Elden and go on a mission to save their mother from ancient horrors that have a Lovecraftian twist.

July 10

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise (NS)

This sequel to Deadly Premonition is set in the year 2005 in a small town in New Orleans. FBI agent York and his “friend” Zach encounter an odd serial murder case.

F1 2020 (PC, PS4, XBO, Stadia)

This game celebrates the career of Michael Schumacher. Players can drive in four of his most iconic cars, helmets, race suits, and podium celebrations, and more.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (NS)

In a small village called Mineral Town, players return to their grandfather’s farm to care for the livestock and crops. The seasons aren’t the only changes players will go through, fall in love, stroll down memory lane, and more.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris (PC, PS4, XBO)

Becoming the protagonist, Kirito players find themselves in the Underworld a strange yet familiar place. Characters featured in the game include Eugeo, Alice, Administrator, and more.

NASCAR Heat 5 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)

Want to drive for NASCAR? Here is your chance. Players can drive for a real NASCAR team and many new features.

July 14

Death Stranding (PC)

“Tomorrow is in Your Hands.” Civilization has collapsed. Sam Bridges goes on a journey across the wasted land that is crawling with otherworldly threats. The cause: mysterious explosions that set off supernatural events called the Death Stranding. When players die, they get sent to another world referred to as an upside-down world in water. When they come back to life, anything that was done or damaged remains in the world. There is also a rain called Timefall that deteriorates whatever it hits.

The highly awaited PC version of the game stars Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. It is directed by Guillermo del Toro, and Nicolas Winding Refn.

Neon Abyss (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Players become a member of the Grim Squad, a task force created by Hades himself to penetrate the Abyss and defeat the New Gods. This is also one of the only games where dying … you come back stronger.

Rocket Arena (PC, PS4, XBO)

Do you like soccer? Do you like cars? Get ready. This game puts players in vehicles that will be used to crash into balls to score and save in the arena.

July 16

Bounty Battle (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Players can put their favorite Indie heroes against each other. Characters from Guacamelee! Dead Cells, Darkest Dungeon Owlboy, and others from over 20 different games. Players will have the minion that helps them out in the fight in over ten different arenas.

July 17

Drake Hollow (PC, XBO)

Players defend the friendly villagers from beasts and boredom. Help them survive and protect them in Drake Hollow.

Ghost of Tsushima (PS4)

Putting aside what he knows and the samurai traditions, Jin Sakai must find a new path. Taking the way of the Ghost, Jin wages war for the freedom of Tsushima.

Paper Mario: The Origami King (NS)

For this adventure, Mario has a new partner named Olivia to help him fight against the evil Folded Soldiers as they try to free Princess Peach (why is it always her in trouble?) from King Olly. The King has turned the Princess into origami and plans to do the same to the rest of the world.

July 20

Into the Radius (PC)

In the post-apocalyptic Pechorsk Radius Zone, players are sent to explore and try to survive the wasteland that was once a thriving mining town.

July 21

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (PC, PS4, XBO, NS, Stadia)

Time to build and break in the third edition of this Monty Python-esque game. Players can create and share their levels and then destroy them to start all over again.

July 23

Röki (PC)

Inspired by Scandinavian folklore, players join Tove on a journey to save her family. Follow Tove into the fairy tale forest, make friends with monsters, solve riddles, and find forgotten items.

Rogue Legacy 2 (PC)

The legacy defines you. Players build their homes and give their children a fighting chance either slowly or quickly; it all depends on how ready you want to be for more significant challenges. Part two of the game features a new style, new weapons, new biome generations, and more.

July 28

Destroy All Humans! Remake (PC, PS4, XBO)

It’s back! As the evil alien Crypto-137 players harvest DNA and try to take down the US government as they invade. Set in the 1950s, players use exotic weapons, technology, and psychic abilities to destroy humans.

Grounded (PC, XBO)

Players are shrunken to the size of an ant and must build, explore, and survive alongside the other insects.

Skater XL (PC, PS4, XBO)

Grab your board and hit the many California locations that appear to show off skills, tricks, and more. Players can choose from skating icons Tiago Lemos, Evan Smith, Tom Asta, or Brandon Westgate.

Othercide (PS4, XBO, PC)

You will fight. You will fail. You will rise again. The only thing standing in the way of suffering and death are the Daughters, echoes of great warriors. Players lead their army to battle to outsmart, evolve, and win.

Pistol Whip (PSVR)

It is powered by a great soundtrack, journey through the cinematic bullet hell to become the ultimate action hero and legend.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

As the Guardian of Winter Aryellle (Ary), players travel the world of Valdi learning to control the seasons to defeat enemies and an evil mage.

July 31

CastleStorm 2 (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

It is time to defend the Kingdom from the forces of the Undead. Players plot triumph for both sides in the two-sided campaign.

Cat Quest + Cat Quest 2 Pawsome Pack (PS4, NS)

This pack combines both game’s purrfect little package. Players can rescue their catnapped sister from the evil Drakoth or try to keep the peace between the cats of Felingard and the Lupus Empire’s dogs. Get this game right meow!

Monster Crown (PC)

In creating a monster legacy on Crown Island, players fight off the threat of a woman who seeks power. The game and ending change with the player’s decisions, will it be for good or evil?
