Everyone knows the best way to get answers is to mix science and myth, and Expedition Bigfoot does just that. Dr. Mireya Mayor leads a group of Bigfoot experts in the new Travel Channel show that blends technology and over 10 thousand eye witness accounts to locate the legend. The show follows Dr. Mayor, Bryce Johnson, Russell Acord, Ronny LeBlanc, and Ryan “RPG” Golembeske to an undisclosed location in Oregon as the team attempts to find Bigfoot once and for all.

The cast leading this expedition follows the basic philosophy of the show: combining concrete science and myth. Dr. Mayor is a world-renowned primatologist, Fulbright Scholar, and Emmy Award-winning correspondent for the National Geographic Channel. She was raised in Miami, Florida as the daughter of Cuban immigrants, going on to earn her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and English at the University of Miami and Ph.D. from Stony Brook University. Most recently, she joined Florida International University as Director of the Exploration and Science Communication Initiative. She is widely known as “The Female Indiana Jones” for her expertise in the field.

She is joined by Bryce Johnson, host of the podcast Bigfoot Collector’s Club and life-long Bigfoot enthusiast; Russell Acord, a retired Army Sergeant and skilled survivalist; Ronny LeBlanc, a globally-recognized figure in the paranormal world and host of the Monsterland podcast; and Ryan “RPG” Golembeske, a born Bigfoot hunter who’s followed his family’s passion for the paranormal around the globe.

Tune in to the premiere of Expedition Bigfoot on December 8 at 10 p.m. ET on the Travel Channel, and be sure to follow Travel Channel on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. You can also join the adventure by using the tag #TRVLBigfoot.
