Hey, prospects! This week’s episode had everyone on the edge of their seats waiting to see what El Padrino’s fate would be; how Angel is or is not handling Adelita’s absence; and little brother, well, he gets played by his ex. Just a typical Mayans M.C. Tuesday night.

If you have not seen the episode, there will be spoilers beyond this point.

Angel wakes up to the sound of crows early in the morning. What is there to do except grab a gun and threaten them. When he shoots at the noisy birds, it turns out it is a water gun that only resembles a real weapon. EZ wakes up in another room, hearing the commotion and jumps out of bed, thinking his big brother is in trouble. “What? They are very loud” is the explanation Angel gives for threatening the crows.

As the brothers ride to the clubhouse, one of my favorite things happen. Along the way, one by one, other club members pull in seamlessly, and they ride together as one. When passing by the butcher shop, Felipe is sitting out front, so they wave while they pass.

Bishop and Taz greet everyone as they pull into the lot. Bishop asks EZ how his brother is doing. EZ tells him that something has shifted in him. Chucky gives EZ a note that says Happy is there to see him. In EZ’z trailer, Angel, Hap, and he meet to go over a folder that has information that could lead them closer to who put the hit out on their parents. They are interrupted by a knock on the door from Hank, telling them that Padrino is in trouble. Bishop looks at them, wondering why Hap is there. EZ lies, saying that he was dropping off the rest of his parole paperwork. Seeming to believe it for the moment, Bishop asks Hap to help them out. Since it is for Alvarez, Happy delivers a line that hits Sons of Anarchy fans right in the feels, “Jax would want me to help. I’m in.”

Miguel and the M.C. meet to talk about who has Alvarez. Miguel thinks that it is Potter or Hobart and the mercenaries. Emily shows up to where her husband and the M.C. are meeting and tells him that she needs to talk to him; he brushes her off. They bring in Nestor, who is injured, and she wants to go to him. Concerned, Miguel yells for someone to get her out of there.

As Alvarez and a few guys wait, two vehicles with people in masks pull up and kidnap Alvarez. When they take off their covers in the car, because they have a bag over Alvarez’s head, it reveals the mercenaries Potter hired. Shortly after, Nestor shows up and then drives off after them. The mercenaries notice that Nestor is tailing them, so one of the vehicles drive off. Later down the highway, that second vehicle comes out of nowhere and hits Nestor’s vehicle, sending him rolling down the hill. When he climbs out of his car, he notices part of a phone number on the side of the tow truck and writes them on the hood using his blood. They have Alvarez in a warehouse and are beating him quite severely, asking who knew about Adelita. When he remains silent, they turn to torture and waterboarding him, rip off a fingernail, and stab him through his hand.

Now knowing that it is Hobart that has him, and after seeing something out the window, Alvarez says that he will give them a number to text for a callback. Both Bishop and Miguel get a text from Alvarez, revealing some information on his whereabouts. After Coco takes out the guy outside the building, Angel goes closer to get a better look. On his way, he knocks down some crowbars that, luckily, no one hears. They go in and save Alvarez. Hobart is still alive. They go to hand Alvarez a gun to end it, but he shakes his head no. EZ looks around and picks up a wrench and hands it to him. Alvarez knees over him and beats him to death with it.

Potter reveals that Adelita is safe and settled in at a naval base in San Diego. He is determined to figure out who knew about the car she was in and wanted to get her. Much later, Potter tries to call the mercenaries, but no one answers, because they are all dead. Him making that call looks like he put the mercenaries up to the kidnapping. Potter goes up to the female FBI agent and hands her a piece of paper that has “Felipe/Ignacio” written on it, wanting all the information he can get on both names.

Emily goes to see Ileana in her hotel room. She tells Emily that she checked the bids and found one that came in at the last minute under the radar, and it was a better bid than hers. Emily gets mad and accuses Ileana that she knows who gave information about the proposals to the other person. She says that the only other person that had access is her assistant Marlin. Then, says she shouldn’t have taken the money from her. Emily reminds her that she did and owes her, when asked what she is going to do to Marlin. Emily tells her she wants to talk to him.

Using Felipe’s butcher shop, Emily meets with EZ and asks for a favor. Of course, EZ says yes right away. She tells him that the Chinese business competitor outbid them by using Marlin to spy on the other bids. She wants him to talk to him and get him to confess to doing it so that the submission gets disqualified and hers wins. EZ receives a phone call from Angel asking if he was done strolling down memory lane; at least he knew about it. Emily is using and manipulating EZ, and he is falling for it.

When he gets home, Miguel goes to talk to Emily about the day. She apologizes to him, but when he asks what she wanted, since it seemed necessary, she shrugs him off, telling him it got handled. He watches her leave the room, wondering what she means.

After seeing Happy off, EZ tells Angel that he is going to check on their pops. The brothers hug, and Angel watches him leave. You can tell by the expression on his face that he knows his brother is off to do something that involves Emily.

EZ goes to see Marlin and knocks on his door. Marlin recognizes him from high school, and they talk a little about those days. EZ tells him that they know that he took money from the other business to give them intel on the Galindo bid. Marlin realizes he is there on behalf of Emily. When he goes to get his phone, he pulls out a gun. EZ tries to wrestle the gun away from him, and Marlin falls back and accidentally pulls the trigger. Marlin shoots himself in the head and dies. EZ is left standing there, looking at Marlin’s body.
