Supernatural started filming on July 18 with Jensen Ackles as the director, but they were actually filming the episode that would air as the fourth episode of the season. Now, filming has officially started on the premiere episode according to Co-Executive Producer Jim Michaels.

The premiere episode will be directed by John Showalter, who has directed many episodes of the longest running Sci-Fi series before. His episodes include “Game Night”, “Unhuman Nature”, “The Thing” and more.
