What’s New in Gaming for February

Video games have been on a roll, and we are only two months into the year. The art form is evolving, and competitions, conventions, and awards are growing.

Regardless of the platform you use, Play Station 4 (PS4), Xbox One (XBO), Nintendo Switch (NS), Computer (PC) , etc., there is a game for you to enjoy playing.

To keep track of all the new video games, here is a list of some anticipated video games released in February.

February 1

DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

To help Hiccup, Toothless, and the other dragon riders, take to the skies to fight against evil villains out to destroy a dragon sanctuary. Players play as the character Scribbler, who cannot remember their past along with a dragon named Patch. In the adventure, you can battle and explore while solving puzzles to recover Scribbler’s lost memories.

February 5

The Occupation (PS4, XBO, PC)

In this intense first-person, fixed-time, thriller, players play as a journalist set in 1987. After an explosion triggers a provocative act that threatens civil liberates, you investigate and question people about that night. As the reporter, players decide the narrative.

February 6

Away: Journey to the Unexpected (PS4, NS, XBO, PC) (February 6-8)

An anime-styled first-person adventure game that combines action and problem-solving throughout the storyline. All characters are playable, only if players find the right answers to get them to join their team.

February 8

God Eater 3 (PS4, PC)

Oracle cells start to consume all life on earth uncontrollably, and they are immune to conventional weapons. Because of this, civilization collapses. But there is still hope, the God Eaters. Players create a character to fight for humankind.

Monster Energy Supercross 2 (PS4, XBO, NS, PC)

Players train hard, find contracts and sponsors and get to meet fans in the race to build a supercross career. There are interactive victory celebrations, and track editors to create a track for the stadium. Plus, experience points unlock new game content to train and become a better racer.

February 12

Trials Rising (PS4, XBO, NS, PC)

A single or multiplayer racing game where players control a rider on a motorcycle that can be costumed while trying to navigate the race and its obstacles. Courses include the Eiffel Tower and Mount Everest.

February 14

Degrees of Separation [PC, PS4, XBO, NS]

Two souls Ember and Rime fall in love but are unable to be together because of a powerful force. Players must learn to harness and use their powers to go through puzzles and follow the story to get through the fantasy world.

February 15

Crackdown 3 (XBO, PC)

New Providence is built around a volcano and is home to corporate psychopaths, butchers, and gangsters. Players must fight to stop The Agency TerraNova Worldwide before it’s too late by working on their agent skills, an arsenal of weapons and equipment. Players are Commander Jaxon portrayed by Terry Crews.

Far Cry: New Dawn (PS4, XBO, PC)

In this first-person shooter, game players have to survive a post-apocalyptic world and build your arsenal and fight the Highwaymen twin leaders.

Jump Force (PS4, XBO, PC)

In this fighting game, the famous Manga heroes have to unite to fight against a dangerous threat. Some characters that players can choose from are from My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Quest and more.

Metro Exodus (PS4, XBO, PC)

Driven by the story, players try to survive deadly combat with stealth in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. There are many hazards, mutated creatures, and hostile people. Players have access to weapons that can be customized by materials they have scavenged.

Constructor Plus (NS) (Released on PC, PS4, XBO February 28)

With around 138 buildings to choose from and 17 worlds (including outer space), players work through challenges and puzzles to build cities.

February 21

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (PS4, XBO, NS)

Rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright works to defend the innocent. Players prepare for courtroom showdowns, collect evidence, question witnesses and fight to expose the truth.

February 22

Anthem (PS4, XBO, PC)

In an imperfect world, humanity is having issues surviving the harsh environment of threats. A faction known as the Freelances work to get the balance back in humans favor. Wearing the Javelin Exosuits, players get superhuman abilities to fight the beasts and monsters.

February 26

Dirt Rally 2.0 (PS4, XBO, PC)

Race through locations across the world. Any mistake could be the end. Players drive off-road and progress through events and champions to win it all by building a team and altering your car to suit your style.

The Lego Movie 2 Videogame (PC, PS4, XBO, NS)

Bricksburg is in ruins after alien monster invaders destroyed it. Emmet must work with other characters to save his friends. Players test their master building skills as they discover new areas and build structures.
