GISHWHES SERIES: Osric Chau – Team Aggressively Casual

Welcome to part two of our GISHWHES series! In our GISHWHES series, we’ll talk to different Supernatural actors who are participating in this year’s hunt and ask them a few fun questions. One other cool part about this – you can win a spot on their team! You can see the first part, with Emily Swallow – here!

This time, we talked to Osric Chau (Kevin on Supernatural) who has named his team Team Aggressively Casual!

G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S. (The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) takes place August 5th to 12th.

If you’ve never heard of Gishwhes before, here’s a little background information:

Gishwhes is a 7-time Guinness World Record breaking scavenger hunt hosted by Supernatural actor and Random Acts co-founder Misha Collins. You can compete from anywhere in the world.

The items on the list range, but could be anything from “perform a sock puppet show at a children’s hospital” to “get the word “gishwhes” written on something in space.”

At the end of the hunt, a winning team is chosen to join Misha on a trip! Previous years Misha has taken the winning team to Rome, Scotland, British Columbia, Iceland and more. This year’s hunt, the winning team will join Misha in Hawaii!

We asked a few fun questions to Osric, which you can see below!

Nerds and Beyond: What do you think your character on Supernatural would bring to a GISHWHES team?

Osric: Kevin would be amazing at researching all the random things, activities and places that you would need for Gishwhes.

Nerds and Beyond: If you had to come up with a new item for GISHWHES, what do you think it would be?

Osric: Play Mary Had A Little Lamb on an “instrument” that you’ve built yourself.

Nerds and Beyond: What are you looking forward to about this year? Are you nervous?

Osric: Getting to know the team members is always fun. Doing something strange that I never would have considered otherwise is always fun after the fact.

Nerds and Beyond: What other cast member – who is currently not doing GISWHES – would
you want on your team?

Osric: Wait we’re allowed to not do Gishwhes?
