Trainers all over the world: it’s the day we have all been waiting for! Pokémon GO has been released on Android and iOS devices nearly everywhere!
Pokémon GO is a smartphone gaming app created to give players a new way to play their favorite games by bringing the Pokémon world to us. Using Niantic’s Real World Gaming Platform, players will get to use their actual locations in order to find and capture Pokémon. As of now, the only Pokémon available are those of the Kanto region. It was also announced that eventually players will get to join teams with their friends, which will allow them to open gyms.
Although it is free-to-play, the app does offer in-app purchases for those who wish to purchase extra items as they begin their own Pokémon journey. By the end of the month a special accessory for the mobile game called Pokémon GO Plus will be available for purchase for $34.99.
