Outlander has found its Christie family, and they are coming to Fraser’s Ridge in the highly anticipated sixth season. Mark Lewis Jones (Carnival Row) will appear as Tom Christie, Alexander Vlahos (Merlin) will appear as Allan Christie, and Jessica Reynolds (The Curse of Audrey Earnshaw) as Malva Christie.

The Christie family finds themselves in Fraser’s Ridge looking for a place to settle. Tom is a fellow Ardsmuir prisoner and devout Protestant. Allan Tom’s oldest is headstrong and protective of his family, while the youngest family member Malva is high-spirited and is captivated by the work Claire does, along with her modern thinking. However, harmony doesn’t last long when Tom’s beliefs and strong opinions create tension within the ridge.

The upcoming season is based on Diana Gabaldon’s A Breath of Snow and Ashes, the sixth installment of the Outlander novels.

Here is STARZ synopsis of the sixth season:

“The sixth season of Outlander sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America. Establishing a home in the New World is by no means an easy task, particularly in the wild backcountry of North Carolina – and perhaps most significantly – during a period of dramatic political upheaval.”

Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin. Season 6 is currently being filmed in Scotland and doesn’t have an air date yet.
