‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’: Starz Announces ‘Outlander’ Prequel Starts Production

Starz has announced that the Outlander prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood has started production!

The 10-episode season will be filed in Scotland, similar to Outlander. Starz has also announced four members of the cast – Harriet Slater, Jamie Roy, Hermione Corfield, and Jeremy Irvine.

The series will center around the relationship between Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Slater) and Brian Fraser (Roy). The series will also dive into the origin story of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Irvine).

Outlander is also set to return soon, airing the back eight of the episodes of its seventh season later this year, and will soon start production on their eighth season.

Matthew B. Roberts, Ronald D. Moore, and Maril Davis are executive producing. Story Mining & Supply Company will also executive produce, with Diana Gabaldon serving as a consulting producer. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and will be available to stream on Starz in the U.S. and Canada.
