Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has revealed three new characters for NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS, a love letter to the Naruto series that brings together many of the most famous story arcs in a one-of-a-kind video game.
The new characters can be seen in a new trailer for the game. The characters are recent additions to the Ultimate Ninja STORM series, now set to appear for the first time in a Naruto video game. Coming as a celebration of the anime’s 20th anniversary, NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS is coming in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via STEAM.
The three new characters revealed for NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS are:
- Boruto (Karma) – Boruto (Karma) is one of Boruto’s forms, allowing him to draw upon the power of the Karma seal, an implant of one of the series’ overarching villains Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s memories and abilities, to become even more powerful against enemy players.
- Kawaki – Kawaki was raised in a secret society to be the future vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki. Equipped with a Karma seal and microscopic Shinobi-Ware, he can attack with a variety of mystical and technological skills.
- Jigen – Jigen was a young monk who was implanted with Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Karma seal and is now the leader of the secret society Kara. Armed with exceedingly powerful Karma skills and highly powerful Chakra, Jigen is one of the Boruto series’ most powerful villains.
Fans can look forward to playing the latest version of the game, which includes the first consumer hands-on for these new characters, at this year’s Anime Expo on July 1-4 at the Naruto booth (#2600).
In NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS, players relive key moments from Naruto and Sasuke’s emotional story arcs with the Ultimate Ninja STORM series’ trademark cinematic fights and true-to-the-anime visuals. The title will have the most playable characters in a Naruto game, including all characters from past STORM entries and new characters from both Naruto and Boruto.
