‘Cruel Summer’ Season 2 Premiere Screening at ATX TV Festival

ATX TV Festival has announced new programming for its upcoming twelfth season, set to take place June 1-4 in Austin, Texas. Among the newly announced programming is the season 2 premiere of the hit anthology series from Freeform Cruel Summer as well as the premiere for HBO’s The Righteous Gemstone.

Season 2 of Cruel Summer will see a new cast and new mystery in a new town. Following the premiere screening will be a Q&A with creatives and cast for the new season.

Set in an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest, the next chapter of Cruel Summer follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship. Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward.
