ATX TV Festival Releases Schedule Including ‘Outlander’ Panelists and More

As season 12 of the Austin Television Festival draws closer, the schedule for the four day event has officially been released. Included in the schedule are previously unannounced panelists for several of its panels including Outlander, Tiny Beautiful Things, Austin City Limits, and more.

Outlander

The highly anticipated seventh season of the hit series is set to premiere on June 16, just two weeks after the Austin Television Festival. The Women of Outlander panel will take place Thursday, June 1 at 11 a.m. C and include amazing panelists for audiences to hear from. Those panelists are Caitriona Balfe (Producer / Cast), Sophie Skelton (Cast), Maril Davis (Executive Producer), and Toni Graphia (Executive Producer/Writer). The panelists will discuss the previous seasons of the show and possibly even give a few hints of what to expect in the upcoming season. Fans of the series won’t want to miss this panel.

Tiny Beautiful Things

Along with the release of the schedule, the festival has also added a session for Hulu’s Tiny Beautiful Things. Liz Tigelaar (creator/showrunner/executive producer) and Cheryl Strayed (bestselling author/executive producer) will discuss their collaboration to adapt Strayed’s collection of Dear Sugar columns for the limited series. This panel is set to take place June 2 at 10 a.m. C.

Backstage with Austin City Limits

Celebrating 49 seasons, the festival will feature a panel taking the audience behind the scenes of the iconic music television series, Austin City Limits. Moderated by Sara Robertson (Chief Content Officer) the panel will feature Executive Producer Terry Lickona, Producer Jeff Peterson, Assistant Producer Michael Toland, Audio Director David Hough, and Director of Archives Elizabeth Antaramian. Join them for discussion about curating the unique ACL experience, how the series has evolved over the last 5 decades, and the necessity of keeping art accessible and preserved for future generations. This panel will be on June 1.

Mayans MC

Also new to the announced line up will be a panel discussing the five season run of FX Network’s Mayans MC. Joining the panel will be Elgin James (co-creator/showrunner/EP/writer/director), JD Pardo (actor), Clayton Cardenas (actor), Emilio Rivera (actor), Sarah Bolger (actor), and JR Bourne (actor). The panel will take place June 3.

Alongside these amazing panels will be a whole host of other popular panels, screeners, and conversations for shows including Manifest, Amazon’s Jury Duty, a panel celebrating the 30th anniversary of Cheers, and so much more.
