‘The Flash’: Stephen Amell to Reprise Role as Oliver Queen in Final Season

It’s only fitting that the man that started the Arrowverse is there when it comes to an end. Stephen Amell is returning as Oliver Queen for The Flash‘s ninth and final season!
According to Deadline, Amell will be appearing in the ninth episode of the season, joining previously announced Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Ramsey Rosso/Bloodwork), and former Arrow co-star David Ramsey (John Diggle/Spartan).
Amell portrayed Oliver Queen/Green Arrow for eight seasons on Arrow before the show ended in early 2020. The series kickstarted what would be known as the Arrowverse, spawning shows such as The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl (after officially joining The CW with its second season), Black Lightning, Batwoman, and DC’s Stargirl.
Season 9 of The Flash is set to premiere on Wednesday, February 8 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the rest of our coverage of the series here. Be sure to also check out our article on how Amell and Arrow left a lasting legacy on superhero television here.
