Street Fighter 6 will officially launch on June 2, 2023. After reports leaking earlier in the day, the release date was confirmed during The Game Awards.

Alongside a returning favorite, DeeJay from Super Street Fighter II, comes three new characters to the universe — Manon, Marisa, and JP. Manon is a supermodel and world-champion judoka. Her move set is a mix between judo grappling and classical ballet.

Marisa is an up-and-coming jewelry designer from Italy who claims ancestry to ancient Greek warriors. Because of her ancestry, it makes her a powerhouse character, lending her the ability to use her long limbs to unleash slow yet gargantuan strikes.

JP is the head of an international NGO responsible for many successful investment projects, and the man behind Nayshall’s present prosperity. He has a beloved cat named Cybele. With age comes wisdom and it certainly aids JP who takes control of the entire map from all angles.

The game’s confirmed roster also includes Ryu, Luke, Chun-Li, Guile, Jamie, Kimberly, Juri, Blanka, Dhalsim, E. Honda, and Ken Masters.

The game is available for pre-order now, with incentives for PS5 and PS4 owners. You’ll receive alternate colors for Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri, and Ken’s default outfit, 18 in-game Special Titles, and 18 Stickers featuring unique art from the launch roster to personalize your profile.
