Cindy’s Real Play
The night of the Gambler’s murder, Cindy’s standing over his body with her shiv out. She quickly puts it away and grabs the laptop. After hearing the JSA, she hides the laptop and grabs the Gambler’s gun, accidentally pulling the trigger, which makes the JSA run to the trailer. That’s when they see Cindy over the Gambler’s body.
Cindy has no luck accessing her father’s files and realizes if she uses one of the Gambler’s gadgets, she’s able to hack into the laptop.
Cindy returns to her father’s lab looking for answers. Yolanda, meanwhile, sneaks into Cindy’s room, where she finds the Gambler’s laptop.
“I’m gonna kick her ass.”
A Dangerous Relationship
Courtney and Cameron are getting closer, and with Sylvester being Starman so much, she has a lot of free time on her hands. It also allows Courtney to do some research on Cameron’s powers. She sneaks down to the basement to look through JSA files and research Icicle.
Courtney partners up with Cindy during chemistry, and she tells her about her relationship with Cameron. Cindy warns Courtney to not tell him about what happened with Icicle, but she likes the idea of the two of them together.
As Courtney and the JSA discuss Cindy’s potential with the team, Courtney finds herself distracted by researching Icicle, and to make matters worse, Cameron comes up to them. Rick, though, is not happy with the fact that he interrupted them, and Courtney sweetly tells Cameron they’re in the middle of something. After he leaves, the team tells her they need her on her A-game. They don’t like her hanging out with him because of who his dad is.
“Cameron’s not his dad anymore than I’m mine, Yolanda.”
Cindy talks to Cameron and brings up summer art camp, his past, and his mom. He gets angry, and his eyes are like icicles.
The JSA reconvene at Pitstop without Courtney, as they all talk about her and what’s been going on. Sylvester reminds the young heroes about the JSA getting into a fight over Bruce Gordon, and after that, they never reconciled. Blaming himself for what happened with the JSA, he tells Yolanda, Beth, and Rick to learn from his mistakes, and if Courtney wants to hang out with Cameron, they should let her. They decide to switch their focus to the murder and Dragon King while Rick still has to fix the hourglass.
Courtney is once again out with Cameron, going over her research. He makes something out of ice, and his grandparents watch him.
The Search for Dragon King
Sylvester, Yolanda, and Rick search tunnels under Blue Valley for any sign of Dragon King, which leads Cindy to quickly hide from them. Sylvester gets upset after seeing the portrait of the ISA members, knowing whoever is behind all of this will pay.
Sylvester knows about Dr. Ito’s hidden labs, so he goes off to check one out. After getting the passcode from Beth, he goes down into the lab.
Loss of Control
Sylvester has trouble sleeping at night following the journey through the tunnels and admits to Barbara about losing his temper in the ISA meeting room after seeing the ISA painting. The two discuss how quickly their lives changed after meeting Pat and how great of a father and leader he is.
In the morning, Sylvester talks to Mike about how he got him justice for stopping Icicle and going after Eclipso was real superhero stuff. Maybe the two of them aren’t so different.
Double Date
While Pat and Barbara are at the diner, the Crocks sit down at their table. Lawrence and Paula tell them that they are doing their own investigation into Sharpe’s murder. They interrogated everyone who he owed money to (by using their own conventional methods), and they found out he paid everyone back before he died. Perhaps he really did change. They’re going to help Pat solve this, despite Pat not completely being on board.
Overbearing Parents
Beth’s parents, as great as they are, want to help Beth with the JSA and even want her to give them a mission, knowing they can do something. Sylvester says it’s always hard when the family finds out and gets involved. His sister, Merry, Henry’s mom, got involved and was killed by Brainwave. He tells Beth the first rule he has: protect the family.
Beth confronts her parents and tells them to stay out of her life as Dr. Mid-Nite. It’s too dangerous. She doesn’t want anything to happen to them. They tell her they understand and sadly walk out of her room.
The Limiter Does Exist
Rick has trouble fixing the hourglass, and Sylvester tells him that the Limiter is probably busted. It’s what makes it so that the hourglass only works for an hour each day. If Rick removes it, he may be able to use it 24/7, though Sylvester warns him to be careful. His father created that for a reason.
Rick takes out the Limiter, and the hourglass once again works, giving him full power.
