Sylvester Stallone is returning to our screens later this week in MGM’s Samaritan, and we’ve just been given our first glimpses into what that will look like.
Directed by Julius Avery, Samaritan will launch globally on August 26 and tell the story of 13-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) who suspects that his mysterious, reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Stallone) is not who he seems. In fact, Sam suspects that, despite the rumors that he died 25 years ago, Mr. Smith is actually the super-powered vigilante Samaritan. So with crime on the rise and the city close to falling into chaos, Sam makes it his mission to draw his neighbor out and save the city.
