‘Cobra Kai’ Season 5 Trailer Showcases Action-Packed Fight for the Valley

Cobra Kai season 5 is one week closer, and Netflix has released the official season trailer! The new trailer offers a more in-depth look at what to expect this season, from Terry Silver’s takeover to a slew of personal drama and more.

Based on the trailer, the stakes only continue to ramp up as the fight for the valley grows. In it, viewers begin to see the scope of Silver’s plans, meeting some of the new senseis now involved with Cobra Kai. The kids on all fronts face their fair share of drama, with Robby and Miguel still noticeably at odds with each other. Meanwhile, Johnny starts a new job he probably shouldn’t be doing, and Daniel’s desperation to stop Silver presents some exciting team-ups ahead. Plus, viewers also learn a bit more about the fate of another returning character.

Season 5 focuses on the fallout from last season’s All Valley Tournament. With Cobra Kai’s win comes more dojos set up by Terry Silver, who brings on a handful of new senseis. After closing the doors on Eagle Fang, Johnny heads out on a couple of new ventures of his own, including finding Miguel and reconnecting with Robby. Meanwhile, Daniel refuses to give in completely, turning to his former nemesis Chozen for help.

Season 5 stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Thomas Ian Griffith, Martin Kove, Tanner Buchanan, Xolo Maridueña, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, Courtney Henggeler, and more. The season welcomes series newcomer Alicia Hannah-Kim, with Yuji Okumoto returning as Chozen and Karate Kid III alum Sean Kanan reprising his role as Mike Barnes.

Cobra Kai season 5 hits Netflix on September 9. Check out the new trailer below:
