‘Joker’ Sequel to Release in Fall of 2024
Todd Phillips’ highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s Joker, Joker: Folie à Deux, is set to release in 2024.
In 2019’s Joker, Phillips’ spin on the popular villain follows Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a failed comedian who walks the streets of Gotham City as a recluse. Masquerading as a clown as his day job, Arthur tries his best to fit into a world that rejects every part of him. Fleck begins a slow descent into madness before he takes on the mastermind moniker known as the Joker.
The film won a wide array of awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Actor and an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, both awarded to Phoenix.
Joker: Folie à Deux is currently slated for release on October 4, 2024. Production is expected to begin in December.
