Star Wars fans are finally learning more about Rey and her past!
One question plagued fans throughout the three sequel trilogy films: who are Rey’s parents? In Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, it’s revealed that her father was a failed clone of Emperor Palpatine. But that’s all we really knew … until now.
In an exclusive USA Today excerpt of the new Star Wars novel, Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith, we learn her parents’ names. That’s right! Rey’s parents’ names are Dathan and Miramir.
According to StarWars.com, Jedi master Luke Skywalker and fan-favorite Lando Calrissian aid a young Rey and her parents while they are being hunted by Sith assassin, Ochi. Ochi is tasked to return to Exegol with “the key to the Sith’s glorious rebirth — the granddaughter of Darth Sidious himself, Rey.”
In Shadow of the Sith, we can expect to learn more about the events that took place between Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Episode VII: The Force Awakens and, especially, the central character in the sequel trilogy.
Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith will be out on June 28.
