‘Dune: Part Two’: Christopher Walken Set To Play The Emperor In ‘Dune’ Sequel

Dune: Part Two has found it’s Emperor Shaddam IV in Christopher Walken.

The sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s Oscar-winning adaptation of the Frank Herbert science fiction classic is shaping up to have another star-studded cast just as the first installment did. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem are among those returning for the film, with Florence Pugh and Austin Butler among the growing list of newcomers to the cast.

Dune: Part Two will continue where the Oscar-winning Dune left off, with Paul Atreides fighting alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the benevolent grasp of House Harkonnen. Walken will bring Emperor Shaddam IV, the ruler of the known universe and the one responsible for sending the Atreides family to Arrakis. In Dune: Part Two, we will likely see the Emperor doing what emperors tend to do best in film — terrorizing the general population and combatting the rebellion.
