Watch the Official Trailer for ‘Dune: Part Two’

Warner Bros. Pictures have released the official trailer for Dune: Part Two, the sequel to Dennis Villeneuve’s first Oscar-winning installment that is expected to finish out the plot to the original 1965 novel by Frank Herbert.

Dune is a mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey that follows Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding. Paul must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence — a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential — only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

Dune: Part Two will continue where the Oscar-winning Dune left off, with Paul Atreides fighting alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the benevolent grasp of House Harkonnen. Christopher Walken will bring Emperor Shaddam IV, the ruler of the known universe and the one responsible for sending the Atreides family to Arrakis. In Dune: Part Two, we will likely see the Emperor doing what emperors tend to do best in film — terrorizing the general population and combatting the rebellion.

Dune: Part Two features returning cast members Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. Part Two will see Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha), Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot), Souheila Yacoub (Shishakli), and Christopher Walken (Emperor Shaddam IV) join the cast, among others.

Watch the official trailer below, and catch Dune: Part Two when it premieres in theaters November 3, 2023.
