While Spider-Man: No Way Home introduced the multiverse to our beloved live-action Spideys, it is the animated multiversal Spider-Man film from Sony that fans consider to be the best from the studio. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse became instantly loved at release, showing a young Miles Morales take on the role of Spider-Man after the untimely death of his universe’s Peter Parker. Being Spider-Man isn’t simple, though, and Miles is soon pulled into a scheme orchestrated by Kingpin, which results in many different Spidey variants being pulled into his universe. Easy enough for a friendly neighborhood spider to fix, right?

While the sequel — Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse — recently pushed its release date to June 2, 2023, Sony has now unveiled the name for the third installment to the franchise during their panel at CinemaCon 2022: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The threequel was initially planned to be Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 2.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will release March 29, 2024. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond as more Spider-Verse news unfolds.
