‘The Bubble’: Enjoy the Green Screen Woes of ‘Cliff Beasts 6’
With three weeks left until Judd Apatow’s pandemic-inspired The Bubble makes its way to Netflix, a new “look” at the film has been revealed.
The Bubble is a comedy about a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a sequel to an action franchise film about flying dinosaurs. The long-awaited official trailer dropped last week following a cheekily meta teaser of the film-within-a-film, Cliff Beasts 6.
Now, today’s latest look at the movie features the drab, awkward, anticlimactic — yet absolutely hilarious — woes of making an effect-heavy movie on a backdrop of endless green screens.
The thrilling film that the cast is working on is the latest entry in the Cliff Beasts franchise, a saga about a group of scientists and adventurers who — time and time again — find themselves in precarious situations up against deadly, bloodthirsty dinosaurs. Cliff Beasts 6 sees the return of all five original cast members and some newcomers as they scale Mount Everest to defeat the latest outbreak of man-eating monsters.
Co-written by Apatow and South Park‘s Pam Brady, The Bubble stars Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, Peter Serafinowicz, Vir Das, Rob Delaney, Guz Khan, and Harry Trevaldwyn.
Don’t miss The Bubble when it hits Netflix on April 1.
