Nominations for the 79th annual Golden Globe Awards are in. For the first time ever, submissions were not required for award consideration this year, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) did accommodate filmmakers and studios that requested their content be considered for specific categories only.
HBO’s miniseries Scenes from a Marriage scored two well-earned nominations for its leads, both of whom laid themselves bare and poured their hearts out for all to see over the course of five episodes.
- Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television (Oscar Isaac)
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television (Jessica Chastain)
Hagai Levi’s modern adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s classic Swedish miniseries explores love, hatred, desire, monogamy, marriage, and divorce through the lens of a contemporary American couple. Check out our review!

Chastain was also nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
