A new adventure for young Star Wars fans is coming! Lucasfilm has announced Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures, a series of animated shorts.

According to StarWars.com, the series follows SF-R3 or “Aree,” a droid who’s part of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts, as he “journeys across the galaxy to learn everything there is to know about wildlife.”

Matt Martin, the Senior Creative Executive on the Lucasfilm Story Group, says “the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts was founded during the exploration age of the High Republic by scientists and adventurers interested in researching the myriad of new species found on the frontier worlds of the Republic.”

The High Republic era is set hundreds of years before the Skywalker Saga beginning with The Phantom Menace.
