With the line ,”Don’t get catfished this holiday season,” Netflix’s new movie is set to be a must watch this holiday season for romcom fans. Love Hard will star Nina Dobrev as Natalie, a woman who thinks she has been matched with the perfect man on a dating app. Joining Dobrev is Jimmy O’ Yang as Josh, the supposedly perfect man for Natalie, but all is not what it seems.
In the trailer, we see Natalie decide to fly across the country to meet up with her perfect man she has been messaging. Soon she gets a big surprise in the form of Josh. Turns out Josh didn’t have the best of luck with dating sites and decided to use the face of someone in his town instead of his own. This “perfect man” is played by Darren Barnet. Josh decides to try to make up for his lie by setting up Natalie with the ruggedly handsome neighbor that she thought she was meeting to begin with. Soon rom-com fluffy feelings and funny situations ensue.
Hernan Jimenez is the director behind the project. Alongside Dobrev and Yang there are several other well known names involved in the movie, including Harry Shum Jr. James Satio, Heather McMahan, Mikaela Hoover, and Rebecca Staab. Love Hard will be released on the Netflix streaming service November 5. Alongside the rom-com, Netflix will also be releasing 28 other projects for the holiday season.
