The official poster and trailer for Vacation Friends is here, and it makes you wonder: what do you get when you mix Wedding Crashers and The Hangover? Well, it seems that we’ll find out the answer to that question with the release of Vacation Friends!
Vacation Friends follows Marcus and Emily (Lil Rel Howery and Yvonne Orji) who befriend Ron and Kyla (John Cena and Meredith Hagner) on a trip. They show them how to get loose and have fun. As the trip winds down, there’s an empty promise (“see you soon”) and they part ways. But not for long. Ron and Kyla show up to Marcus and Emily’s wedding, uninvited, ready to continue where they left off.
Robert Wisdom (The Alienist, Ballers), Andrew Bachelor (The Babysitter, Holidate), and Lynn Whitfield (Greenleaf, Madea’s Family Reunion) also star.
Vacation Friends is directed by Clay Tarver (Silicon Valley) and written by Tom Mullen and Tim Mullen, Clay Tarver, Jonathan Goldstein, and John Francis Daley. Producers include Todd Garner (Tag, Playing with Fire) and Timothy M. Bourne (Love, Simon, The Hate U Give), with Steve Pink and Sean Robins serving as executive producers.
