Robin Buckley From ‘Stranger Things’ Gets Podcast ‘Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins’

Netflix Geeked’s Geek Week dropped a ton of new Stranger Things content today while we impatiently wait for the fourth season. Included was the announcement that Hawkins resident ex-Scoops Ahoy employee, Robin, will get her own scripted fiction podcast as a companion to the upcoming young adult novel Stranger Things: Rebel Robin written by A.R. Capetta.

Robin was introduced in season 3 of the series. She worked at Scoops Ahoy with Steve, and in between selling scoops, she’d tally his dating wins and losses (more often losses). Robin is portrayed as sassy and sarcastic, but it’s a front she uses to protect herself. She goes through her own growth in just a short number of episodes and is even revealed to be lesbian in a heartfelt moment between her and Steve in the Starcourt Mall bathrooms while hiding from the Mindflayer. Steve swiftly accepts with an added quip about Robin’s crush on Tammy after confessing his feelings to her.

Narrated by Maya Hawke herself, the podcast will premiere June 29 with new episodes dropping weekly on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
