FANDOMDISNEY'Indiana Jones 5' Adds Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson to Cast

The latest installment in the much-beloved Indiana Jones franchise has added two new cast members this week.

Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson are now set to co-star opposite Harrison Ford in Disney and Lucasfilm’s fifth Indiana Jones movie. Mads Mikkelsen and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are also on board for the film, which will see James Mangold taking over as director from Steven Spielberg. Spielberg will still be involved in the film in various different ways, including producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel. However, if Spielberg not directing puts you off, perhaps the news that John Williams will be returning as the film’s composer, continuing a 40-year tradition, will pull you in.

Filming is set to start production this summer. As of now, plot details are still vague at best with many things, including Holbrook and Wilson’s roles, still up in the air. However, with the film’s release date set for July 29, 2022, there is still plenty of time for more information to come out.

Holbrook’s career started on the show Narcos, but he has since landed roles in films like Hugh Jackman’s Logan and 20th Century Studios’ reboot of The Predator. He even just wrapped filming on the highly anticipated Sandman series on Netflix. Similarly, Wilson started her career on TV as a lead on The Resident before going on to appear in Marvel’s Black Panther, among other roles.

The duo should make an exciting addition to this new installment in the beloved action saga. Stay tuned for more updates.
