Swifties have been excited for the rerecording of Taylor’s full discography since the day she announced the project, and today CMT debuted the music video for “The Best Day (Taylor’s Version)” which is part of her first rerelease album Fearless. The music video is full of home video footage from Swift’s early childhood through her teen years and into the early days of her career. The clips will be familiar to any Swifties who watched the lyric video, as it features much of the same content from the lyric video released two weeks ago.
In true Swift fashion, the footage we see perfectly encompasses the beautiful and touching lyrics about having the best day with her mother, father, and brother. Originally released in 2008, the song was written by Swift as a surprise for her mother at Christmas. It’s a touching tribute to her family and the video showcases just how close the Swift family was throughout her childhood. Check out the new music video here!
