After ordering a pilot for the newest DC series Naomi, The CW has found the show’s lead and set three other cast members.

Kaci Walfall will star in the title role as Naomi McDuffie, an “effortlessly cool and confident” teenager who boldly embraces her nerdiness. The series will primarily follow Naomi, who finds herself venturing from her small town world to the expanse of the multiverse after a supernatural event rocks the town. Naomi ventures out to discover the origins of the mysterious event, learning information that challenges our beliefs about superheroes as we know them.

The additional cast members include:

Cranston Johnson as the mysterious Zumbado, the owner of a local used car lot that Naomi tries to avoid — until a tense encounter leaves her both rattled and curious about him.

Alexander Wraith as Dee, who owns a tattoo parlor and hints that he may know more about strange events than he chooses to reveal.

Camila Moreno as Lourdes, a sarcastic young woman who works at a vintage collectibles shop. Lourdes holds an unrequited crush on Naomi, and shares her love of comics. Lourdes is willing and ready to join in Naomi’s schemes.

Naomi is currently in development with Ava DuVernay and Arrow‘s Jill Blankenship. They will write and executive produce the show, along with Sarah Bremner and Paul Garnes executive producing. Amanda Marsalis will direct. The series is an adaptation of DC’s limited comic book series by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell.
