Meet Netflix’s Newest Superheroes in ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ First Look
A first look at Netflix’s upcoming superhero series, Jupiter’s Legacy, has been revealed. The series is based on the comic series by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely which launched in 2013. This is one of the many Millar projects in development after Netflix acquired the Millarworld imprint in 2017.
The series will follow a group of teenagers in the height of the Great Depression who visit an island in the Pacific where they receive superpowers. Upon returning to the United States, they take on the role of superheroes. Now, the heroes are the revered elder guard passing the torch onto their kids who have big shoes to fill to live up to their parents.
The official synopsis is as follows:
“After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards.”
Jupiter’s Legacy stars Josh Duhamel as The Utopian, Ben Daniels as Brain-Wave, Leslie Bibb as Lady Liberty, Andrew Horton as Brandon Sampson, Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson, Matt Lanter as Skyfox, Mike Wade as The Flare, Ian Quinlan as Hutch, and Anna Akana as Raikou.
The streamer has also revealed photos that include Blackstar (Tyler Mane), Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty, Walter Sampson/Brain-Wave, Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian, Brandon Sampson, Chloe Sampson, Hutch, George Hutchene/Skyfox, and Fitz Small/The Flare. Check them out below.
