‘Banshee’ Starring Antony Starr Coming to HBO Max!

Looking for ideas for your next binge date with your television? Look no further, because Banshee is coming to HBO Max.

Banshee, a Cinemax series that original ran from 2013-2016, follows the story of an enigmatic ex-con and master thief that assumes the identity of a man named Lucas Hood (who also happens to be the town’s murdered sheriff) as he attempts to stay off the radar of a powerful crime lord. Set in the small town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, this gritty, brutal series was created by Jonathan Tropper and David Shickler.

“Lucas Hood” is portrayed by Antony Starr, who is currently best known for his portrayal of the deviously twisted Homelander in the Amazon Prime Video hit series The Boys. Starr took to Instagram to ensure fans of The Boys that they’ll take a liking to Banshee as well.

Banshee also stars Ivana Miličević, Ulrich Thomsen, Frankie Faison, Matt Servitto, Hoon Lee, and more.

The series consists of 38 episodes across four seasons total. Banshee will arrive on HBO Max on February 23. In the meantime, check out the official trailer for the first season below for a taste of what’s to come.

If she's not writing or out and about with her camera, she's probably watching anime, nerding out over Star Wars, reading manga, and definitely forgetting to water her plants. And waiting for the Genshin loading screen to pop up. Contact: lindsey@nerdsandbeyond.com
