Now that we’ve experienced the epic 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star crossover event that took place this week (make sure to check out our favorite moments and recap), another important episode is looming just on the horizon.

FOX’s 9-1-1 focuses on the lives of first responders in Los Angeles, California, namely the firefighters of Station 118. Over the years, the show has produced several special character-centric episodes as a part of the “Begins” series. Thus far, we’ve heard the backstories for Hen, Bobby, Athena, and Eddie.

Now, in just two weeks, we’ll finally learn about the mysterious backstory of Evan “Buck” Buckley (portrayed by Oliver Stark). In the first few episodes of season 4, we’ve learned that Buck has finally taken it upon himself to (seriously) see a therapist, and he’s doing it for personal reasons, not as a result of his job as a firefighter. This admission sparked something in Maddie, who has spiraled into a panic over what’s apparently a huge secret that she and their parents have kept from Buck his entire life.

Maddie and Buck’s parents are due to arrive in town in next week’s episode, “9-1-1, What’s Your Grievance?” at which time we’ll finally learn the Buckley family secret. The fallout from that will continue into episode 5, “Buck Begins.”

“The 118 race to save the lives of workers trapped in a five-alarm factory fire. Meanwhile, Maddie reveals a painful family secret that causes Buck to confront his childhood and answer why he is the daredevil he is today.”

Check out the photos from “Buck Begins” below. If these stills are anything to go by, it appears that we may be in for another emotional roller coaster with this episode …

“Buck Begins” will air on FOX on Monday, February 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In the meantime, make sure to check out our interview with Oliver Stark.
