Tomorrow evening, fans of FOX’s hit first responder drama 9-1-1 will be tuning in for the long-awaited episode “Buck Begins.” In the meantime, Evan “Buck” Buckley himself — Oliver Stark — spoke with FOX News about the episode. Watch the interview below.

9-1-1 just recently entered its fourth season, and over the years the show has produced a series of character-centric “Begins” episodes. These episodes typically peel back the layers on one of the established characters and explore an aspect of their backstory and how it connects to the person that they are today. Up to this point, we’ve seen “Begins” chapters for Athena, Bobby, Hen, Chimney, and most recently Eddie.

Thus far, season 4 of 9-1-1 has had a heavy focus on Buck and the Buckley family in general. After it was revealed that Buck was seeing a therapist for personal reasons, Maddie fell into a spiral of guilt, and audiences learned that she and her parents have been keeping a huge secret from Buck his entire life. The heartbreaking truth was revealed in episode 4, which now sets the stage for “Buck Begins” tomorrow. In this upcoming episode, the 118 will race to save the lives of workers trapped in a five-alarm factory fire. Meanwhile, Buck will also confront his childhood and answer why he is the daredevil he is today. Select stills from the episode were released last week.

“Buck Begins” will air on FOX on Monday, February 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by a new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In the meantime, make sure to also check out our interview with Oliver Stark from last summer.
