Sam Corlett Set to Lead Netflix’s ‘Vikings’ Spin-Off ‘Vikings: Valhalla’

Netflix has announced the cast for its spin-off of Vikings, and set to lead the ship towards Valhalla is none other than Sam Corlett (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). Corlett will play Leif Erikson, one of the most notable Norse explorers, described as

“A Greenlander, raised on the outer fringes of the known world, Leif comes from a tightly-knit family steeped in the old pagan beliefs. An intrepid sailor and physically tough, Leif is our entry into a Viking world in the throes of violent change.”

Vikings: Valhalla will follow other notable Vikings as well, including Freydis Eriksdotter (played by Frida Gustavsson), Harald Sigurdsson (played by Leo Suter), King Canute (played by Bradley Freegard), Olaf Haraldson (played by Jóhannes Jóhannesson), Emma of Normandy (played by Laura Belin), Earl Godwin (played by David Oakes), Jarl Haakon (played by Caroline Henderson), Queen (played by Pollyanna McIntosh), and Jarl Kåre (played by Asbjørn Korgh Kissen).

The spin-off has come after a successful run of Vikings, which premiered on the History Channel before making a final run on Amazon for the last season. Valhalla will be set in the 11th century, 100 years after the original series.
