The long wait is finally over — the second season of A Discovery of Witches has officially arrived!

Based on the All Souls trilogy by author Deborah Harkness, A Discovery of Witches is a fantasy drama that follows the story of a reluctant witch named Diana Bishop (portrayed by Teresa Palmer). In the first season, the historian’s carefully organized life unraveled at an alarming rate when she accidentally came across a long-lost alchemical manuscript. Her affairs then became entangled with those of the mysterious vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) when the two struck up an allegiance that soon turned into a passionate romance. With the Congregation hot on their tails, Diana and Matthew made the decision at the end of season 1 to timewalk into the past in order to find her an appropriate teacher and search for Ashmole 782.

Season 2, which is based on the novel Shadow of Night, finds the pair in Elizabethan London in the year 1590. Watch the trailer below!

The airing schedule of A Discovery of Witches varies depending on what continent viewers are located on. For those in the UK and some parts of Europe, all 10 episodes of season 2 are currently streaming on Now TV and Sky TV.

Meanwhile, fans in North America can catch new episodes weekly on Saturdays (starting today) via Shudder, AMC+, or Sundance Now. As an added bonus, fans that are hoping to brush up on season 1 can binge all eight episodes for free right now on the three aforementioned streaming services.
