Nominations were revealed today for the second annual Critics Choice Super Awards, which recognize films and television across the superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror, and action genres.

The hit drama A Discovery of Witches, which recently aired its series finale, received two nominations in recognition of the show’s leading pair.

Best Actor in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series – Matthew Goode
Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series – Teresa Palmer

A Discovery of Witches, which is based on the book series by Deborah Harkness, follows the story of Diana Bishop (Palmer), a reluctant witch. Despite being the daughter of two talented, powerful witches — the late Stephen Proctor and Rebecca Bishop — Diana cast aside her magic in favor of her career as a historian of alchemy. However, when she accidentally comes across a bewitched alchemical manuscript that sends witches, vampires, and daemons alike into a frenzy of curiosity and hunger for power, she can no longer ignore who she truly is. Things only become more complicated for her when she then crosses paths with the brilliant and handsome geneticist Matthew Clairmont (Goode) … who also happens to be a vampire.
