It’s the most wonderful time of the year. With the holiday season right around the corner, Netflix is giving subscribers many treats throughout December. Season 3 of The Great British Baking Show: Holiday, Ryan Murphy’s The Prom, and the final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as well as the premiere of Selena: The Series and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom starring the late Chadwick Boseman are just some of the original titles dropping on Netflix during the final month of 2020. Fan-favorite titles include the original Jurassic Park trilogy, After We Collided, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
Titles leaving Netflix include Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch from 2018, all four seasons of Hart of Dixie, all six seasons of Gossip Girl, which will most likely move to HBO Max as the reboot is in development, Ralph Breaks the Internet which will be going to its new home at Disney+ the day after, all seven seasons of The West Wing, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. One of the biggest upsets will be The Office, which will be leaving Netflix right before the start of the New Year for its new permanent home on NBCUniversal’s Peacock.

WHAT’S COMING
December 4: Selena: The Series
This new series starring Christian Serratos is based on the life and career of the late Mexican-Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez, played by The Walking Dead star. Selena’s family had a lot of say in the series and reportedly even had the final say in who would be playing the iconic star.
December 11: The Prom
Ryan Murphy — who created shows such as Glee, American Horror Story, 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Lone Star, Nip/Tuck, and most recently, Hollywood and Ratched on Netflix — directed this new Netflix film that follows a group of Broadway stars who shake up a small Indiana town “as they rally behind a teen who just wants to attend prom with her girlfriend.” The film has a star-studded cast in Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, Keegan-Michael Key, and more.
