The inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards, a special event honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies — including superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, action, and animation — are quickly approaching. Hosted by Kevin Smith and Dani Fernandez, this remote presentation of the Super Awards will air on The CW on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST.

The list of nominees was announced this morning, and it includes two nominations for the hit Disney+ live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian!

The Mandalorian follows the story of a bounty hunter as he traverses the outer reaches of a post-Empire galaxy. Season 2 premiered a few weeks ago, and you can follow our recaps of each episode here.

The Mandalorian received a nomination for Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Series. Actor Pedro Pascal was also nominated for his portrayal of Din Djarin in the Best Actor in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series category.
